Leveling Up with Sony Recruiters

You’d be hardpressed to find a game design student that hasn’t credited playing a Sony Playstation as an influence in their career choice. For the first time, Champlain College is welcoming Sony Playstation University Recruiters to campus. The event will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 12:30 p.m. and will continue until 2:00 p.m. Recruiters will be discussing summer internship positions with interested students in the CCM Gallery Lounge.Daphne Walker, career advisor for the game cohort at Champlain, has been in contact with the recruiters for the past few years through the Game Developers Conference. COMMUNICATING FOR CHANGE: Your Organization May Be in Need of Change, But Are Your Publics?

Whether organizational change results from reorganization, acquisition, merger, downsizing or new strategic direction, there are unique components to a change situation that demand special communication considerations for internal and external publics. The Champlain College Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and the Yankee Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (YPRSA) are partnering to host, “Communicating for Change.” rung9Leading the session is Rosemarie Rung, APR, who has over twenty-five years of corporate communications experience working for two Fortune 50 corporations and her own private consulting practice. This professional development session is being offered to the Burlington business community to reveal the science and strategy behind effective change communications and how to prepare a successful communications plan. The session is Friday, Nov. 18 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on the campus of Champlain College, Burlington, VT.
