For the ninth year in a row, Champlain College has been named to Princeton Review’s list of the top undergrad game design programs in the country—this year, ranking 17 out of 50.
Local news station WCAX recently covered the story, interviewing Amanda Crispel, the assistant dean of game development, and Scott Barrett, a Champlain alumnus now working for Ubisoft Montreal.
Champlain’s Game Studio is known for its focus on collaboration and experiential learning, simulating a real-world studio environment. The Game Studio has been around since 2004 and has continued to grow and evolve. Game Business & Publishing and Game Sound Design are two new majors joining the Game Studio, which also includes Game Design, Game Programming, Game Art, and Game Production Management.
This year, seniors will be showcasing their eight Capstone games via livestream on Friday, May 14.
