Champlain Alumnus Promoted to Senior Motions Graphics Designer

UnknownChamplain alumnus, Raymond McCarthy Bergeron, was promoted to Senior Motion Graphics Designer at VIVA Creative in January 2015 after joining the firm in October 2014. Ray is responsible for designing and animating graphics and digital set designs, as well as editing video for ultra widescreens, presentation animations, loops, and live show openers.

Ray completed a BS in Multimedia & Graphic Design and a BS in Computer Information Systems at Champlain College, and an MFA in Film & Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology. images-1While at Champlain, Ray worked on several projects at the Emergent Media Center, including BREAKAWAY, a video game developed in partnership with the Population Media Center and the United Nations Population Fund to educate and help prevent violence against woman. In 2012, Ray’s self-directed short 2D/3D animation “La Lune et Le Coq” was a finalist at the 39th Student Academy Awards.
