Tim Brookes, Program Director for Professional Writing, launched two books at the Burlington Book Festival: The Ghost of Good Intentions and The Driveway Diaries Second Edition.
The Ghosts of Good Intentions is a combination of Brookes’ Greatest Hits from his days with National Public Radio (NPR). It spans from 1989 to 2010 when Brookes was a long-term-contract essayist/commentator and wrote about subjects “as serious as the Velvet Revolution in Prague and as trivial as the sound of a knife scraping toast.” .
The Driveway Diaries Second Edition has been rereleased after ten years of its original publication. The second edition features three additional essays by Brookes to “round off his period of living at the foot of a steep gravel driveway off a dirt road in semi-rural Vermont.”
The Ghost of Good Intentions and The Driveway Diaries Second Edition are available at your local bookstore. Contact Tim Brookes to purchase a signed edition through him.
